How it started
Clearlifeinsight was founded in 2012 by a small group of home cooks in Glasgow who noticed a gap: busy households wanted proper meals without the daily grind of shopping, chopping and washing up. What began as a handful of weekly deliveries to neighbours on Byres Road grew, slowly and deliberately, into a structured service covering 7 districts across the city.
Fourteen years on, the business is still based at 35 Byres Road, Glasgow, G23 8LQ. The team has grown from two people cooking in a rented kitchen to 15 people handling everything from meal planning and cooking to packaging, dispatch and customer support. Over that time we have completed 1,853 jobs for 1,260 clients, with 244 of them returning for a second order or an ongoing plan.
Mission and outlook
Our aim is straightforward: get a proper, freshly cooked meal to someone's door with as little fuss as possible. We are not trying to reinvent the idea of dinner. We are trying to remove the parts of it that eat up time — planning, buying ingredients, standing over a hob after a long day.
Looking ahead, we want to keep the service at a scale where we still know our regular clients by name, rather than growing into something anonymous. That means we grow the number of districts we cover carefully, roughly in step with the size of the team, rather than promising more than 15 people can reasonably deliver.
What guides the work
Straight communication
We reply to enquiries within about 2 hours during business hours. No automated loops, no vague promises about "getting back to you soon".
Consistency over novelty
We would rather deliver the same reliable meal on time every week than chase trends that do not hold up on a Tuesday evening.
